LADDER COMPANY OPERATIONS (MAN TO MAN)
Program Overview

This program provides attendees with a comprehensive look at the duties and responsibilities of
all members of the ladder company.  This program covers the following topics:

      Responsibilities of the ladder company
      Duties of each member
      Tool assignments
      Ventilation, Forcible entry and Search procedures
      Safety considerations

Program Topics

This program provides the attendees with information of the duties and operational procedures of
the ladder company.  This program covers the following topics:

      Responsibilities of the ladder company
      Firefighter duties
      Officer’s duties
      Tools and Equipment
      Ladder Positioning and Placement
      Firefighter Removal Techniques
      Safety

Behavioral Objective of this Training Program

At the conclusion of this training program, the attendees will be able to demonstrate that they are
able to use the information taught in this training program by properly demonstrating their sense of
responsibilities of the ladder company. Each attendee will be able to describe and explain the
duties, assignments, and positions of each member of the ladder company. Each attendee will
also be able to conduct a tool assignment for each member of the ladder company.

Program Length and Structure

This program is a total of 3 hours in duration containing a three hour PowerPoint presentation
along with lecture and discussion.

Student Handouts

Each firefighter who attends the entire training program will receive a Certificate of Attendance and
a student handbook.
